Trust
In Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala)
This is to completely
submit yourself to Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) without any doubts and with full
conviction. How do we do this? By following the commands that have been
outlined for us in the Qur’an and Sunnah. By living your life according to the
Qur’an and Sunnah, you will only find success and the Mercy of Allah (Subhana
Wa Ta’ala) upon you. By being thankful to Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) in times
that good happens to you and turning to Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) in times of
distress will only increase in your Eman. Be patient in times of hardship and
recognise the trials and tribulations that you are going through so that you
can face the calamity that you are in with full belief in Allah (Subhana Wa
Ta’ala).
Make
Du’a
Making Du’a is very
powerful. What a greater time to make Du’a then in the holy month of Ramadhan.
Once Musa (Alayhis
Salam) asked Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala): O Allah! You have granted me the honour
and privilege of talking to you directly, Have you given this privilege to any
other person?
Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) replied, O Musa during the
last period I am going to send an ummah, who will be the Ummah of Muhammad
(Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam) with dry lips, parched tongues, emaciated body with
eyes sunken deep into their sockets, with livers dry and stomachs suffering the
pangs of hunger- will call out to me (in dua) they will be much closer to me
than you O Musa! While you speak to me there are 70000 veils between you and me
but at the time of iftaar there will not be a single veil between me and the
fasting Ummah of Muhammad (Subhana Wa Ta’ala).
Making Du’a is the
very essence of worship. Abdullah bin Umar from Rasool-Allah , "For whoever
the door of du’a opened, for him the doors of mercy are opened. Whatever du’a is
asked from Allah the best duaa is for well-being and safety among them."
(Tirmidhi)
There are 3 things
that happen to a du’a:
o Allah
(Subhana Wa Ta’ala) answers it in this duniya
o Allah
(Subhana Wa Ta’ala) saves the du’a for the Akhira
o Allah
(Subhana Wa Ta’ala) turns away an evil from us that would otherwise would have
been inflicted upon us.
