PREPARATION TIPS BEFORE THE SEMINAR

We want you to prepare yourself and get into the Eman Rush Zone. Here are a few tips of Preparation before the Seminar:

Steps to Increasing Your Eman:

Recognise and Repent

It’s a simple fact, if you increase in your sins; it has a negative impact on your Eman. Lying, cheating, stealing, backbiting are a few named sins which often happen on a daily occurrence and things that we probably do without realising that we are doing it. Unfortunately, this is no good for the heart and it becomes vulnerable to being led astray and away from the straight path. We have to reflect upon the sins that we do on a daily basis and turn to Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) and repent for them as they will only make our Eman weaker. Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) has given us the ability to choose between right and wrong and give us the ability to recognise when we do something wrong. Therefore we should take this into consideration and repent sincerely. SubhanAllah although Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) has the power and might to punish us He also has the Mercy to forgive us also.

The Forgiver of (every) guilty (deed), and The Accepter of penance, strict in punishment, The Owner of Ampleness…” [40:3]

      Perform Salah Regularly

Performing the 5 daily prayers on time is another way of increasing your Eman. We should not underestimate the power of the Salah and its effects on the human soul. When in Salah, you have a direct connection with Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) and therefore you are more aware of what you are doing. Performing a Salah is an obligatory act which is Fardh upon us and is prescribed at different times of the day. The reward of one Salah is like

you have prayed 10 therefore, reading 5 daily prayers is as if you had read 50.

      Qur’anic Recitations

It is a proven fact that listening to the recitation of the Qur’an has positive physiological effects on the body. Research also shows that the verses from the Qur’an have healing properties.  Our relationship with the Qu'ran is reflective of our relationship with Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) - so read and understand the words of you Lord and draw closer to Him. This is the fountain of all knowledge and the spring that the Ulema drink from - so grab a bucket and start drinking!! Try to listen to the Qur’an on your stereo in the car, or on your iPod or MP3 player and try to reflect on the verses being read. Alhamdulillah there are so many Qari’s who have melodious recitation.
